Person-centred care in psychiatry: a clinical and philosophically informed approach

SUMMARY After many years of mental healthcare reform there is still a lot unease among patients about workers’ lack attention to their daily needs and the tensions ambiguities that accompany attempts integrate condition into lives. Person-centred care often presented as solution, but term refers differing approaches further specification depending on problem it aims resolve. This article presents discusses clinical philosophically informed approach flexibly focuses person- context-bound aspects patient's co-regulatory role clinician in attempt regulate condition. way thinking, rather than yet another model.
